It’s past the middle of October, which means the clock is ticking towards Halloween. If you don’t have your dress-up outfit planned yet, it’s almost time to give into a premade outfit. These are super easy Halloween costumes, which makes up for them not being the cleverest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Personally, I find Halloween to be a tad challenging. I’ve never been one to dress up like a trashy nurse or sexy vampire. (Although I did intentionally ruin my first wedding dress by turning it into a zombie bride costume \u2014 but that’s a story for another day.) And as I get older, I’m less inclined to spend hours and hours making a clever outfit I’ll never wear again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, I went hunting for clever, readymade costumes appropriate for the older fashionista. You may have to experiment with shoes for this one. If the dress barely hits the floor with flats, great. Ballet flats will do the trick. Otherwise, reach for heels so you’re not tripping over your hemline. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then pull your hair up into a romantic (call it messy) updo. I doubt Renaissance women had a lot of makeup options, but then you’re outfitted in a formal dress…so go with whatever level of cosmetics you like. Add in your best Irish accent and you’ll be the belle of the ball.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hemline on the dress is shorter than necessary, but you could add a pair of flesh-toned leggings if you wanted. Otherwise, this number has all the elements you want to see in an easy Halloween costume. It’s fun, colorful, and complete. Beyond the leggings, you don’t have to add anything but a messy hair style and a smile. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Costume Agent Store’s Flo costume includes the apron, wig, headband, button, and nametag. Sadly, John Hamm is not included as your date. You add your own white top, pants, and sneakers to wear underneath. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How cute is this? Simply slip on your glass of beer costume over your own long-sleeved shirt and leggings. You’re likely to be the victim of bad pickup lines from any drunk people you cross paths with on Halloween, but whatever. Just make sure you have answers on hand when a beer enthusiast starts asking you about your ABV and IBU. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I saved the best for last. You can’t go wrong with a Gatsby-inspired cocktail dress — with gloves and ‘pearls.’ Even better, the dress comes in more than a dozen colors. So if you don’t like the green, there are plenty of other options. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hemline of the dress above the fringe falls just above the knee. With the fringe, the dress provides a nice amount of coverage. That’s great for your comfort, temperature-wise and modesty-wise. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
