Never thought the company was shady, but clearly it is. Beware and do not buy handbags from BF.

By: Yep, lots of fakes at BlueFly https://www.thebudgetfashionista.com/archive/bluefly-fakes/#comment-4419 Wed, 07 Nov 2012 17:32:00 +0000 https://www.thebudgetfashionista.com/wordpress/?p=1201#comment-4419 Yep, to my disappointment, BlueFly does indeed sell fakes. My attempt to purchase Koolaburra classic short boot was brought up short by the word “China” in their detail site of origin of fur. Koolaburra does NOT manufacture nor purchase suede/fur from China, it is all handcrafted and “made in Australia”…..if I want cheap imitations I will buy UGG brand or others. Also, a warning to the buyer is that BlueFly was selling them at 50% less than the actuall cost…..that right there should say, “buyer beware”……

By: don't buy fake if you can't afford real https://www.thebudgetfashionista.com/archive/bluefly-fakes/#comment-4417 Wed, 28 Apr 2010 02:23:00 +0000 https://www.thebudgetfashionista.com/wordpress/?p=1201#comment-4417 So why is it still affiliated with Project Runways? Man thought it would be a credit site selling real stuff since it endorses some of the stuff for the show.

I believed in their legitimacy b/c I seen ads in Lucky and Glamour, surely they would not advertise or endorse counterfiting?  The Prada bag had cheap leather handles..a day later the strap ripped!  I had one heck of a time with BlueFly. They refused to refund, I sent it back ..they sent it to a “leather repair shop” for three weeks that glued the strap!!!!!! It broke again, I fought for 7 weeks to get a refund minus shipping costs.  Take it from me- Plan a trip to a Outlet Center like Coach or Burberry, ect. Outta- of -this- world deals that you will not feel sorry for!!!  You know they are real!

I am 95% sure it was fake or at best a second (if Chloe even releases seconds?), though it was an excellent fake. The differences were very subtle – for example the Chloe name on the padlock was not vertically centered, it was set toward the bottom. I did not take it to a store to verify, but I am almost positive it was fake.

I’d be wary with Bluefly.  Some of the things are fake.
